MILLENNIUM INSTITUTE CENTER FOR GENOME REGULATION – MI-CGR

Director:

Miguel Allende Connelly: Phd in Molecular Biology, full professor of the Biology Department of Universidad de Chile.

Deputy director:

Juliana de Abreu Vianna: PhD in Biological Sciences, mention in Ecology; Associate professor, UC Faculty of Agriculture & Forestry.

About the center

The main objective of MI-CGR is to investigate the diverse layers of information storage, processing and usage present in the genomes of organisms and on how this structure impacts on adaptive mechanisms. Our goal is to be able to describe and comprehend the phenotype by examination of genomic signatures that can be discovered by comparative studies or molecular genetic experiments.
