About the center

The objective of the Millennium Institute for Care Research, MICARE is to generate scientific knowledge on the formal and informal care of dependent older people and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) through the characterization of care from a comprehensive perspective, and the development of appropriate evidence-based interventions. For this, they seek to develop inclusive research, which directly incorporates the vision of the people who care, the elderly with dependency, and people with DID, in addition to promoting a comprehensive, transdisciplinary, rights-based approach, which also considers the use of technology as support in the practice of care.
