About the center
The Millennium Institute on Immunology and Immunotherapy, IMII, conducts research in cellular and molecular immunology. Its studies focus on high impact human diseases such as infections, cancer, autoimmunity, hypertension and inflammatory endocrine diseases. This translates into new vaccines, cell- and hormone-based therapies, new drugs, and antibodies. In addition, IMII contributes in the training of young scientists in translational science. In 2016, IMII became a Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS) Center of Excellence.
