About the center
The objective that defines the work of CIGIDEN is to prevent the extreme natural events from becoming disasters for the population, building and transferring scientific knowledge to society. This center is in charge of developing, integrating and transferring scientific knowledge, and also training advanced human capital to help reduce the social consequences of extreme natural events.
